SANTA MONICA, Calif. -

TrueCar confirmed to Auto Remarketing late Thursday afternoon that it has changed the three-year exclusive partnership it signed with Yahoo Autos last year.

In a TrueCar/Yahoo statement, officials said TrueCar adjusted the deal between the two companies, making it a “non-exclusive, performance-based auto listings and content relationship.”

“The new relationship has been forged as a result of a better understanding of both parties’ capabilities and aligns economics and services around a vision of mutual success,” the statement read.

Sharing background information and additional deal points, officials noted,  “Yahoo users will gain access to TrueCar’s dealer inventory while still benefiting from market data pricing and value through TrueCar’s extensive dealer network.”

They also revealed Yahoo’s plans to roll out a TrueCar Tab in the Autos global navigation bar, while also noting that TrueCar New Car Pricing Information will be used in the site’s research section.

Meanwhile, dealers on TrueCar’s platform will have “gain access to a large volume of qualified automotive consumers.”

There were no details of the financial agreement disclosed.
