CARY, N.C. -

Thirty-three-year-old Mike Ryan heads up management of all physical auction sales for U.S. Bank.

“This includes overseeing our overall auction strategy, tracking and reporting performance metrics, and working closely with our auction vendors to ensure we are seeing the best return for every vehicle sold at auction,” he said.

The auto industry has, essentially, always been a part of Ryan’s life, having grown up in the dealership world.

“I have virtually been a part of the car business my entire life.  My father owned a used car lot growing up and I was there almost every Saturday. I worked for a leasing company through college and joined U.S. Bank shortly after college,” he said. “The most enjoyable part of the auto industry for me is being able to do something I have a passion for everyday and getting to meet and interact with others that have the same passion.”

When asked what has made him the most proud in his career, Ryan said: “I am the most proud of being able to advance within the same organization I joined a year after graduating college. I have been able to build strong relationships with my U.S. Bank colleagues and external business partners. The knowledge and experience I have gained from these relationships has been very rewarding.”

And he has found some inspiration from the people he has worked with, as well.

“I have great admiration for the managers at U.S. Bank that I have had the chance to work with during my 10 years of service. They have been great mentors for me professionally and have advanced my career development,” he said.

Mike Ryan, 33, is the assistant vice president of auction sales and performance manager at U.S. Bank.
