A slew of auctions have received kudos, as several leading companies in the remarketing industry have unveiled their annual awards for top-notch locations.

So, which auctions found the spotlight?

Starting with LeasePlan USA, winning its Overall Auction of the Year award was ADESA Golden Gate, a repeat winner.

The Regional Award Winners from LeasePlan were as follows:

Southeast – Manheim Georgia
Northeast – Manheim New Jersey
Midwest – Manheim Milwaukee
Southwest – Manheim Houston
West – Manheim Seattle

LeasePlan also announced Customer Service awards, which went to:

Eastern Customer Service – Manheim Philadelphia
Western Customer Service – Greater Kalamazoo Auto Auction

Fiserv Announces Top Awards

At Fiserv, it announced that receiving the award for top performing automobile auction house of 2012 was Indiana Auto Auction.

The Fort Wayne, Ind.-based auction earned this distinction after placing second a year earlier in its first year of eligibility for the award.

Fiserv said the rankings are compiled based on overall customer service, operational efficiencies, sale preparation and marketing with the main emphasis on sales retention.

“Indiana Auto Auction is one of our strongest auction partners,” said Megan Haley, director, remarketing strategies, lending solutions, at Fiserv. “They proactively manage vehicle inventory and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure success while consistently achieving very high service levels.”

Earning second-place honors was Manheim Harrisonburg.

This Harrisonburg, Va., auction has taken home Fiserv’s first-place honors three times and finsihed within the top three a dozen times.

This year’s third-place winner — Carolina Auto Auction in Anderson, S.C. — has won first-place five times and finsihed in the top three each year.

Fiserv also spotlighted auctions with the top performances in customer service and operational excellence in 2012.

Those facilities are:

•    ADESA Cleveland, based in Northfield, Ohio

•    Manheim Orlando, based in Ocoee, Fla.
•    Manheim Louisville, based in Clarksville, Ind.

Over at Santander Consumer USA, its auction winners are as follows:

Meanwhile, the OVE.com award winners were announced Tuesday night. In each of the five categories, there was a Manheim winner and an independent auction winner.

Those recipients are as follows (Manheim winner, followed by independent):

Most Innovative:  Manheim Central Florida, America’s Auto Auction, Inc.

Online Buyer Confidence Award: Manheim Seattle, Southern Auto Auction

Highest YOY Growth: Manheim New York, Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies

Highest Commercial Volume: Manheim Pennsylvania, Norwalk Auto Auction

Highest Dealer Volume: Manheim Pennsylvania, Akron Auto Auction

Credit Acceptance/VRS Winners

Next up, Credit Acceptance/VRS announced Thursday that Dealers Auto Auction of the Rockies was its top auction.

The company also recognizes a top auction among those selling less than 150 vehicles from Credit Acceptance per year; this year’s honor was given to Brasher’s Idaho Auto Auction.

Emkay also recognized two Canadian auctions for the first time. Taking home the Eastern Auction of the Year was ADESA Montreal; winning the Western Auction of the Year was Western Canada Remarketing, Inc.

“All of award winners exceeded 100 percent on our proprietary scoring system and had sufficient annual volume to qualify,” said Emkay vice president of vehicle remarketing Jack Rennels.

“Manheim Minnesota scored the highest of any of our U.S. auctions this year,” he continued. “We are excited to honor our Canadian partners this year. Emkay enhanced the Canadian portfolio through an acquisition in 2011. Both Western Canada Remarketing and ADESA Montreal exceeded our expectations in 2012.”

Over at Audi Financial Services, it is recognizing the following as its auction partners of the year:

Gold: ADESA New Jersey
Silver: Manheim Pennsylvania
Bronze: Manheim Arena

LoanMart Reveals Auction Winners

LoanMart — a company that describes itself as a direct lender specializing in non-traditional loans for customers who may otherwise be unable to borrow money from traditional sources — announced the winners of its auction awards for the 2012 year.

The LoanMart Remarketing Department named the following as winners:

Best Retention at Auction 2012: NorthBay Auto Auction of Fairfield, Calif.

Best Customer Service: All Valley Dealer Auto Auction of North Hollywood, Calif.

2012 Star Performer Award: ADESA Los Angeles of Mira Loma, Calif.

LoanMart Auto Remarketing manager, Phillip Kaplan said: “2012 was exceptionally successful for us and it could not have been possible without the help of our auction partners and we’d like to especially recognize these three auctions for their outstanding work.”
