Southeast Toyota Finance is among the clients already seeing measurable benefits from the relaunch of Alfa’s artificial intelligence assistant.

The platform provider for asset finance redeployed AskThea as Thea Chat, which is designed to put Alfa Systems’ expertise directly in users’ hands.

Thea Chat can help teams answer complex questions, make configuration decisions and solve implementation and integration challenges more quickly.

By reducing dependence on specialist support, Thea Chat can also help organizations achieve a new level of self-sufficiency across implementation and product discovery.

Built around industry- and Alfa Systems-specific terminology, workflows and knowledge, Thea Chat connects users to core system documentation, configuration guides, integration references, API documentation and reporting structures.

According to an Alfa news release, the benefits are already visible in live customer implementations, including Southeast Toyota Finance, which is the captive finance provider for 178 Toyota dealers across Alabama, Florida, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Southeast Toyota Finance is currently using Thea Chat as part of its implementation journey.

“Thea Chat has evolved how we approach configuration of our Alfa Systems environment, acting as an instant reference point across both our business and configuration teams. Instead of waiting on colleagues or digging through documentation, our team gets information and guidance in seconds. It has improved configuration resource onboarding time, improved our implementation, and helped us become more self-sufficient when working with Alfa Systems,” Southeast Toyota Finance said in the news release.

“Thea Chat returns answers quickly, provides detailed links to support documentation, and provides strong insights into how the platform works that inform product development and configuration decisions,” Southeast Toyota Finance added.

Unlike generic AI tools, Alfa highlighted its solutions can deliver accurate, context-aware guidance, transforming specialist platform knowledge into an on-demand capability.

The latest release also introduces natural-language SQL generation, enabling users to query Alfa Systems’ Operational Data Store (ODS) structures without specialist database knowledge.

Looking ahead, Thea Chat will combine Alfa Systems documentation with customer-specific configuration and process documentation, enabling organizations to access answers grounded not only in Alfa expertise, but in their own ways of working.

Thea Chat represents the first of many capabilities arriving under Thea, Alfa’s expanding family of AI solutions.

Additional Thea capabilities already in development include intelligent document processing, third-party connectivity, Model Context Protocol (MCP) support and workflow optimization, helping customers automate more business processes while maintaining the governance, transparency and control required in regulated finance.

“Regulated industries need more than generic AI. They need intelligence grounded in their business,” said Brian Murphy, who is director of the office of the chief technology officer at Alfa.

“With Thea, we’re embedding asset finance expertise directly into day-to-day operations, enabling teams to work faster, automate with confidence and stay fully in control,” Murphy went on to say.
