ADP Canada spots significant employment improves in June & July

Not only did the job scene improve in July, experts determined the Canadian employment picture didn’t deteriorate as bad in June as initially indicated.
Employment in Canada increased by 221,300 jobs from June to July, according to the July ADP Canada National Employment Report.
Meanwhile, experts also said the June jobs data was revised. Instead of a loss of 294,200 jobs, the revamped loss figure was less than half of that amount at 106,200.
“The July labor market recorded a solid month of gains,” ADP chief economist Nela Richardson said in a news release. “Eased restrictions have allowed for the reopening of hard-hit businesses, providing increased hiring in leisure and hospitality and trade, transportation and utilities.”
As Richardson mentioned, the leisure and hospitality sectors gained 64,000 jobs in July, followed by the transportation and utilities sectors at 56,900 jobs and healthcare with 28,400 positions.
