Audi Canada president Vito Paladino has a new title to add to his LinkedIn profile as he takes on a role leading Volkswagen Group Canada, as well.
Paladino, the new president and CEO of VW’s Canadian arm, will now be heading up all of the branches of the brand’s presence in the country, which includes Volkswagen Canada, Audi Canada, Automobili Lamborghini and Ducati.
In another new appointment from VW, Edgar Estrada has been named president of the Volkswagen brand in Canada. Estrada, a 25-year veteran of VW, most recently held the same position in Mexico.
These changes were brought about by the impending departure of Pierre Boutin, the president and CEO of VW Group Canada since 2020. Boutin is leaving his current position to move over to the OEM’s European operations.
“This is a very exciting time for the Volkswagen Group in Canada,“ said Pablo Di Si, CEO, Volkswagen Brand North American Region, in a press release. “I welcome both Vito and Edgar to their new roles and am confident they will help lead the group during a time of significant change within the industry.
“I’d also like to thank Pierre for his great achievements, and wish him well in his new role,” he said.
