Key Auto Group is now in on the FFUN.

The FFUN Group announced it has acquired Key Auto Group, a deal that adds four auto dealerships and a collision center to the Saskatoon-based dealership group.

The deal includes three stores in Yorkton, Saskatchewan — Key Chevrolet Cadillac Buick GMC, Key Yorkton and Yorkton Toyota — and Swan River’s Key Chevrolet Buick GMC in Swan River, Manitoba, as well as Key Collision & Paint Center in Yorkton.

FFUN already has a presence in both of those markets through its motorsports division.

With the purchase, FFUN—an acronym for Force From Up North — now operates 27 auto and powersports dealership locations in Saskatchewan and Manitoba. In a news release, the company said the acquisitions “represent a core component of FFUN Group’s broader growth strategy to further expand its strong presence in automotive retail, used vehicles, motorsports, marine and related services.”

It also gives the Saskatoon-based group its first General Motors and Toyota dealerships.

“This transaction reflects our continued mission to develop a world‑class organization headquartered right here in the Prairies,” president and CEO Mark Loeppky said. “Key Auto Group has established strong dealerships in their markets, and our focus now is to support those teams and maintain continuity for customers.”

Key Auto Group founder and CEO Evan Ortynsky said the decision to sell the stores to FFUN was based on alignment between the organizations.

“The fit and feel were right from the beginning,” he said.

FFUN said it plans to integrate the dealerships gradually, focusing on alignment in finance, technology, marketing and human resources, while maintaining a strong local operating presence and ownership group with the long-term in mind.
