ADESA Canada went off the beaten path — or shall we say, road — with its latest online auction endeavor

The KAR Global business unit announced it debuted a powersports-exclusive private-label digital auction in Canada last month for Yamaha, where Yamaha Motor Canada dealers can purchase used inventory from Yamaha Financial Services.

That auction includes a variety of road, off-road, water and snow products.

“This is an exciting new sales venue for Yamaha and ADESA. We hosted our first private-label sale on July 23 with much success — converting 94% of available inventory,” ADESA Canada chief operating officer Trevor Henderson said in a news release.

“Yamaha has a very diverse and specialized product offering, and we look forward to bringing eager customers together through our advanced digital platform,” he said.

Henderson later added: “Dealers can access pre-owned inventory with ease due to innovative features, including an advanced mobile responsive design layout, comprehensive vehicle watch lists, insightful inventory recommendations, advanced search features, and even detailed condition reports—all at their fingertips.”

ADESA will host these online private-label auctions monthly. Yamaha dealers will need to register to attend.

“Prior to our partnership with ADESA, offering our used inventory consistently to our dealers across the country could be a challenging process,” said Dennis Durward, who is retail operations manager of Yamaha Financial Services Canada, in the release.

“Now, we have spearheaded a centralized online platform for our dealers to source our used inventory in conjunction with ADESA,” Durward said. “Our recurring digital auctions give our dealers full online access to our inventory, enhancing their ability to supplement their existing used inventory or offer a desired unit directly to an interested consumer.”
