CARFAX Canada will soon have a new leader at the helm. Shawn Vording will become the vehicle history report company’s new president, effective March 1.

Vording most recently served as vice president of product and sales.

Vording brings along 15 years of experience with CARFAX Canada into his new role of president He has also been with the company since its CARPROOF days, before the company rebranded as CARFAX Canada in 2018.

Vording is replacing Mark Rousseau, who has served as the president of CARFAX Canada for the past eight years. Rousseau will be leaving CARFAX Canada at the end of March, the company said.

“We’ve accomplished so much together; I’m proud of CARFAX Canada’s growth, and high performance,” Rousseau said in a news release. “It was an honor and a joy to be a part of this team and I can’t think of a better person to continue the great work and grow this company further than Shawn Vording.”

In his new role, Vording will report to Edouard Tavernier, president of S&P Global Mobility, a division of S&P Global that operates a portfolio of leading information and technology products for the automotive sector with multiple brands including CARFAX Canada.

“Shawn is a proven leader with extensive knowledge, expertise and relationships in the automotive sector that will benefit CARFAX Canada as it continues to accelerate its growth,” said Tavernier.
