Carfluent is ready to say bonjour to French-speaking car shoppers.

The provider of artificial intelligence-powered Spanish-translated dealership websites has added French to its répertoire, announcing the expansion of its website translation capabilities to include French.

In a news release, Carfluent called its new offering “a significant step” in the company’s mission to help dealerships connect with a broader, more diverse customer base.

“As Carfluent has grown, we have overwhelmingly heard from our dealer customers in the U.S. and Canada that they want more language options,” CEO Chance Mayfield said. “This is a win-win for dealers and their customers. The dealerships expand their customer base while French speakers have the same buying experience as English speakers. Opening the lines of communication builds trust and loyalty for the dealership.”

Carfluent’s proprietary AI is designed for dealerships, specifically searching for auto-centric terms, including OEM terminology, to ensure accuracy and provide true information.

The French-language option enables dealerships, especially those in regions with significant French-speaking populations such as Quebec and parts of the Northeastern U.S., the company said, to deliver a localized and accessible online shopping experience.

Carfluent said offering a fully translated website can expand dealerships’ market reach, allowing them to effectively target and serve French-speaking consumers who prefer to browse and research vehicles in their native language, as well as reducing friction in the purchasing journey and enhancing customer satisfaction.

The company said its French translation feature is fully integrated into its existing platform for quick and easy deployment.

“Some dealers on Carfluent have seen an increase of 30%- 40% in sales,” Mayfield said, “and one dealer in Texas closed 87% of leads that came from the translated websites.”
