EBlock celebrated its new “omnichannel experience center” in Halifax, Nova Scotia with a grand opening event.

The company called last week’s event “a significant milestone” in its commitment to deliver “an evolved and seamless approach” to wholesale vehicle transactions by integrating physical auctions with digital technology.

The 6.5-acre facility, which opened in June, can store up to 600 vehicles and includes two physical lanes, full mechanical services, reconditioning service bays, Canada-wide transport and on-site services such as post-sale inspections.

More than 100 dealers attended the grand opening event onsite, joined by more than 600 active online buyers in the Eastern Canada Live Auction and 119 active in the Halifax LiveLanes.

More than 200 dealer and commercial vehicles from major providers were featured in the site’s new physical lanes and EBlock’s LiveLanes in the Eastern Canada auction on EBlock’s digital platform. The company said the event demonstrated its technology’s ability to integrate digital and physical auctions into a single event across Canada.

The grand opening also included more than 50 units in EBlock’s LiveAuctioneer lane, which the company said enables auctioneers to conduct live digital auctions for vehicles, whether inside or outside the gate, providing online bidders with an experience similar to a physical auction.

In a news release, EBlock said Auto Direct Wholesale USA buyer Jared Pelley was enthusiastic about the new approach.

“I like the idea that at the same time I can put proxies in other lanes I can be here to bid and buy in person,” Pelley said in the release. “This is going to work really well for us. Not to mention that you buy vehicles and have the PSI done right here in one process. It has everything.”

EBlock said its omnichannel experience centers are designed to evolve with the wholesale landscape by offering flexibility, efficiency and expanded opportunities for commercial business and specialized consignment, allowing dealers to source inventory, bid in live auctions and access ancillary services in one marketplace on a unified platform.

“The opening of our Halifax experience center is a pivotal moment for EBlock and the Canadian wholesale market,” president Lisa Scott said. “These are not physical auctions. They are dynamic facilities that enhance the essential logistics dealers and commercial clients need to conduct business effectively.

“More important, they celebrate the vital social and cultural importance of our industry, ensuring we meet our customers precisely where and how they want to do business, whether that’s through a digital dashboard or a personal handshake.”

The Halifax facility, EBlock’s first omnichannel experience center, will be joined soon by another in Edmonton on an eight-acre site the company secured in June. That facility, scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of this year, is now accepting consignment and handling logistics as construction and remodeling continue.

The Edmonton location will include a reconditioning building with full-service bays, omnichannel auction lanes and full technology integrations with EBlock’s digital platform.

The company said additional locations will be announced in early 2026.

“EBlock’s core mission has always been to help dealers succeed,” Scott said. “It’s a personally meaningful occasion to have Mark Chatfield running this facility and all of EBlock Atlantic Canada. I’ve worked with him for years in this industry and know the immense value he brings to any organization.

“The EBlock team and I are excited to integrate our innovative technology, robust facilities and reliable services, both online and in person, to elevate the customer experience for our partners.”
