J.D. Power exec named new CEO of PAVE as co-founder moves into advisory role

PAVE’s co-founder is stepping down as CEO, and a J.D. Power executive is stepping in.
The Toronto-based provider of artificial intelligence-powered vehicle inspection technology said Kenny DellaPorta has been appointed CEO, while co-founder and current CEO Brian Steinhauser transitions to a board advisory role to support PAVE’s long-term strategy and growth.
DellaPorta brings more than 20 years of experience in scaling technology products for dealerships, OEMs and digital marketplaces, the company said in a news release.

Kenny DellaPorta
He most recently served as J.D. Power’s senior vice president of product and data, joining that firm after it acquired Inventory Command Center, an automotive software company he co-founded. He previously co-founded Nexteppe, which was acquired by Dealertrack.
“Kenny has the proven ability to build and scale automotive technology platforms that transform how vehicles are marketed, managed, reconditioned and sold,” Steinhauser said. “With global adoption of PAVE accelerating, he is the right leader to guide the company into its next chapter.”
PAVE said its AI vehicle inspection platform uses computer vision, intelligent damage detection and real-time quality checks to deliver condition reports from any smartphone. The company, which operates in the U.S. and Canada, recently expanded into nine European markets.
“PAVE is reshaping automotive inspections by combining AI with human expertise to deliver the most trusted condition reports in the industry,” DellaPorta said. “I look forward to building on the PAVE team’s vision and working to expand our global footprint while unlocking new opportunities for customers and partners.”
