Go Auto has gone Hollywood.
The Canada-based dealership group said Tuesday it has acquired Toyota of Hollywood in Los Angeles, which was the first Toyota dealership in North America upon its founding in 1957.
Go Auto now has eight dealerships in the U.S., including three in California. The retailer has 70 dealerships throughout North America, representing 26 brands.
“Toyota of Hollywood is a special addition to Go Auto, with a legacy that reaches back to the very beginning of Toyota’s story in the United States,” Go Auto president Phil Abram said in a news release.
“We’re proud to grow our relationship with Toyota and honored to be part of the next chapter for this iconic dealership,” he said. “We are thrilled to welcome the Toyota of Hollywood team and customers to the Go Auto family.
“Go Auto would like to sincerely thank Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. for its trust and support throughout this acquisition, as well as Mike Sullivan for his support throughout the process,” Abram said.
