Signal Technologies has been helping Canadian dealer export vehicles to the U.S. since it was founded in 2017.

Now, the company said, it’s time to update the way it’s done.

Signal has launched Export 2.0, a complete redesign of its vehicle export platform, designed to give Canadian dealers true control over their cross-border operations.

The company said Export 2.0 combines modern architecture, artificial intelligence and intuitive design to turn every stage of the export process, from vehicle appraisal to final settlement, into a unified experience.

“Canadian dealers often lack the resources or in-house expertise to make export a consistent, profitable part of their business,” Signal president and co-founder Tane Jillings said. “Export 2.0 changes that. It’s essentially an export department in a box, giving dealers a simple way to manage the entire export process with confidence.”

Export 2.0 offers a self-service experience, the company said, with access to real-time dashboards, intelligent alerts and automated compliance tools, without sacrificing support.

Signal said the platform includes:

  • A unified workflow with all export activities in one place, from VIN decoding and load building to remarketing and settlement tracking.

  • An intelligent command center featuring a dashboard that surfaces opportunities and issues before they impact business.

  • AI-powered tools, such as machine learning models that automate recall checks, market valuations and export calculations.

  • Full visibility into every transaction, document and payment status.

Canadian dealers sold thousands of vehicles to U.S. buyers through Signal’s original platform, but as the export landscape has grown, the company said, dealers need faster, simpler ways to stay ahead.

“Dealers shouldn’t be stuck piecing exports together with spreadsheets or guesswork,” Jillings said. “Export 2.0 puts everything in one place — compliance, pricing, FX, logistics and remarketing — so dealers can focus on profitability, not process.”
