Westminster Toyota has broken ground on construction for a new facility just a few minutes away from its current location.

Along with a new an 8,000-square-foot showroom, service center and rooftop display of vehicles, according to Toyota Canada, the new Westminster Toyota location going up will feature a technology center designed to further enhance the car buying experience for Toyota shoppers.

“With our 30-year history in New Westminster, we are excited to offer our Westminster Toyota customers and future Toyota customers a brand-new state-of-the art dealership that will give them an extraordinary purchase and service experience,” Westminster Toyota dealer principal Don Butt said in a news release.

“Our new dealership will be four times larger than our current location and will feature more space to showcase and service the full range of Toyota models, including the world's most popular and proven lineup of efficient hybrid electric vehicles.”

Additionally, the new facility's maintenance area will include 15 bays, Toyota's express lube service, a six-vehicle, covered drive-through reception area and an on-site automated carwash and detailing service.

The new facility will be located at 1050 Boyd Street in New Westminster, British Columbia.
