Hyundai Capital America (HCA) is now being led by a former c-suite executive at Ford Credit.

On Monday, HCA announced Jim Drotman as its president and CEO to lead its partnerships with Hyundai Motor America, Kia America, and Genesis Motor America.

Drotman is also being asked to better serve Hyundai, Kia, and Genesis dealers and customers while positioning HCA as a premier financing partner for innovative mobility businesses across Hyundai Motor Group.

Drotman succeeds Marcelo Brutti, who has taken on a new role with Hyundai Capital Services as executive vice president, head of global business division and head of Hyundai Capital Americas Region.

“I look forward to working closely with Jim to focus on HCA’s strategic growth while delivering quality service to our customers, dealers, and OEMs,” Brutti said in a news release. “Jim brings exceptional leadership, vision, and experience that will continue to drive HCA forward in its mission.”

Most recently, Drotman served as chief transformation officer for Ford Credit. During his time with the Blue Oval, he led the development of a comprehensive digital financing platform tailored for commercial customers, significantly enhancing the customer experience and streamlining operations.

Prior to his most recent role, Drotman held various leadership positions within Ford Credit, including executive vice president overseeing operations in the U.S., Canada, and international markets; executive director of sales and marketing for Ford Credit Europe; managing director of Ford Credit Britain; vice president of marketing in North America; and president of Ford Credit China.

In addition to positions with Ford Credit, Drotman has also served on the board of directors for RouteOne, contributing to strategic decisions in automotive financing solutions.
