FlexPath DXP announced on Tuesday that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has published its patent application for VeriQual, the company’s technology that combines identity verification and credit prequalification starting with just a phone number.

The company highlighted the application — titled Identification Authentication and Data Qualification (Publication No. US 2025/0298873 A1) — marks a major milestone in FlexPath’s mission to protect dealers, lenders, and consumers from fraud in digital retailing.

In recent dealer A/B testing, the company said VeriQual outperformed a leading legacy prequalification web app by two times.

FlexPath DXP CEO Tarry Shebesta said the results demonstrate VeriQual’s “unmatched” ability to drive higher quality, identity-verified, credit-qualified leads at half the cost.

“High traffic doesn’t equal high quality,” Shebesta said. “With VeriQual, we’ve built the technology that not only protects against fraud but also drives higher quality leads, better conversion, and lower costs for dealers and lenders.”

VeriQual is designed to ensure every lead is validated before it reaches the dealer’s CRM through processes that include:

—Phone number verification: Confirms real, in-service numbers.

—Identity authentication: Detects and blocks bots, fake profiles, and synthetic IDs.

—Soft pull credit: Delivers full credit prequalification starting with just a phone number.

—Engagement tracking: Flags ready-to-act buyers who call, text, or request directions.

FlexPath is actively expanding VeriQual deployments with dealers, lenders, agencies, and supporting vendors across the automotive, RV, powersports, marine, and heavy-duty truck markets.
