Buckeye Dealership Consulting welcomed “an icon” to its team on Thursday.

The provider of reinsurable products for automobile dealers and finance companies announced that it has hired Bill Elizondo as its new national sales manager with a specific focus on leading the company’s sales efforts in the independent and franchised automotive spaces.

“Bill is an icon in the independent automobile industry having served buy-here, pay-here dealers in various roles for decades,” Buckeye CEO Rob Fox said. “His persona, relatability, and knowledge of the industry are unmatched and a value add to our company and clients, present and future. We look forward to great things with Bill on board.”

About a month ago, Buckeye reinforced its resources by adding David Wiggins as a senior advisor to the executive management team.

Elizondo brings more than 30 years of experience to his new position, recently serving as a senior 20 Group moderator and consultant for the National Independent Automobile Dealers Association.

In that role, Elizondo frequently trained dealers and their staffs on all aspects of their operations focusing on sales, collections, and leadership.

Elizondo also worked for and with some of the largest auto and financial businesses, including more than 15 years with CAR Financial Services where he developed and built operations in several states.

Elizondo worked as the director of collections practices and review for America’s Car Mart until he was promoted to vice president of operations managing 29 dealerships with more than 10,000 accounts and $85 million in receivables and 200 associates.

Elizondo also served as director of sales, strategic growth and development for Superior Auto.
