Merging Compliance Unleashed and BHPH United together paid off for organizers and to the benefit of what they said was record-setting attendance of dealerships and other industry professionals.

Nearly 500 attendees gathered at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas last month for the BHPH United Summit, which included three days of hands-on learning, networking, and real-world, real-time insight into the buy-here, pay-here marketplace.

“Every year, I have attended both the BHPH United Summit and Ignite’s Compliance Unleashed training. I have always felt both training opportunities were essential to those in the buy-here, pay-here industry,” said Lisa Roe of D&D Motors in Barton, Md. “Now I feel like it has gotten even better with them presenting under the same roof. I’m excited to see what they come up with next year.”

This year’s program featured 51 dealer-focused educational sessions across five tracks including underwriting/collections, sales/marketing, service/inventory/reconditioning, human/financial management, and compliance education that had sessions on evolving regulatory standards, legal readiness, and risk management.

Other highlights included the debut of “The Garage,” a series of interactive workshops where attendees gained real-world skills through live hands-on experiences. Garage sessions included demonstrations of GPS installs, AI-based marketing tools, vehicle inspections, and more.

Furthermore, the summit again featured an educational track for Spanish-speaking attendees, which organizers said as well-attended and will continue to be incorporated into future events.

The education sessions were developed by the BHPH United Dealer advisory board, which is made up of BHPH dealers of various sizes from across the country.

Organizers shared reactions from attendees via a news release.

Tommy Brandis is executive director of the Mid-Atlantic Independent Automobile Dealers Association and owner of Advantage Auto Sales and Credit in Quakertown, Pa.

“I have attended every BHPH United Summit and they get better every year,” Brandis said. “They recruit the best dealers, nationwide, to educate you with their best practices. The service providers who make up BHPH United are the Mount Rushmore of the industry. We always come home with more great ideas and techniques than we expected.”

Jeff Owings is owner of Owings Auto in Arlington, Texas.

“The Buy Here, Pay Here United Summit was an outstanding event that exceeded my expectations. This summit was a perfect blend of learning and connection, and I’d highly recommend it to anyone in the industry,” Owings said.

Jordan Ridgeway is owner of The Car Store in Myrtle Beach, S.C.

“The BHPH United Summit was a great experience. The sessions delivered practical, actionable insights that immediately helped improve our collections strategy. What we took away is already making a difference,” Ridgeway.

And more than just training and education unfolded at the event.

In what organizers said was a meaningful show of unity and compassion, attendees participated in a special fundraiser for MD Anderson Cancer Center to honor Amanda Sanchez, a cherished member of the BHPH community.

Through collective generosity during the summit, more than $25,000 was raised to support cancer research and patient care at MD Anderson.

Organizers said the initiative added a powerful sense of purpose to the event and reflected the values that drive the BHPH United community—collaboration, service, and heart.

“While the primary focus of the Summit is the dealers’ education, this year, we also made a difference,” said Candice Price, owner of Home Team Auto Sales in Omaha, Neb. “The tribute to Amanda and the fundraiser were deeply moving. It reminded us why this community matters so much; why we are a family.”

Planning for the 2026 BHPH United Summit and Compliance Unleashed, which will be held April 19-21 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, is already in motion, with organizers committed to delivering more hands-on content, dealer-led sessions, innovation showcases, and opportunities to give back.

“This year’s summit was our best yet, but we are not resting on our laurels,” said Terry MacCauley, CEO of Big Time Advertising & Marketing and partner of BHPH United. “To bring nearly 500 dedicated professionals together in one place shows just how strong and connected the BHPH community really is, and we are looking forward to a robust Summit next year.”
