A member of the AKUVO team since the company’s inception, Castagna brings 26 years of fintech experience and a deep understanding of the business, its customers and the industry to his role as president. He.
“Steve and I have worked together for many years, and I have seen firsthand the depth of his knowledge, his vision, and his commitment to this industry,” Mossman said in the news release. “He has a deep understanding of the challenges financial institutions face and a clear vision for how technology can help them strengthen their collections and recovery operations. “Steve has helped shape AKUVO from the beginning, and I have tremendous confidence in the experience, perspective, and leadership he brings to the role of president,” Mossman continued.
As AKUVO continues to expand and serve a growing community of financial institutions, the company said it is strengthening its leadership for its next phase of growth.
Its board views Castagna’s appointment as an important step in supporting that growth while maintaining the customer focus and industry expertise that have shaped AKUVO since its founding.
“The board has tremendous confidence in Steve Castagna and in the leadership he and Jay Mossman bring to AKUVO,” said Rachel Arnold, chair of AKUVO’s board and senior managing director and co-head of the Endeavor Fund at Vista Equity Partners.
“Steve has played an important role in building AKUVO and positioning the company for the opportunities ahead. His appointment as president recognizes those contributions and reflects the board’s confidence in the direction of the business,” Arnold continued.
Charles Chung, current board member and past chair of AKUVO’s board, added, “Steve has helped turn AKUVO’s vision into a growing business with strong relationships across the financial services community.
“He has brought energy, judgment and a deep understanding of the industry to AKUVO from the beginning. This is a well-earned appointment and an exciting moment for the company,” Chung went on to say.
As president, Castagna will work alongside Mossman and AKUVO’s leadership team to build on the company’s growth and continued investment in intelligent collections and recovery technology.
During Castagna’s tenure as a senior leader, AKUVO has expanded its customer base and introduced significant advances across its technology, including Virtual Collector, AKUVO iQ, and broader AI and predictive intelligence capabilities designed to help financial institutions make more informed decisions and engage account holders more effectively.
“I’m incredibly grateful to Jay, the board and our entire team for the confidence they have placed in me,” Castagna said. “I believe deeply in AKUVO, the people we have assembled and the business we are building together.
“Our customers are asking important questions about the future of collections and recovery, and I’m confident in our ability to help them navigate what’s ahead with better technology, deeper intelligence and a relentless focus on their success. I’m honored to serve as president and excited about what comes next,” Castagna went on to say.
