Along with handing out six industry awards, the American Recovery Association elected new board leadership during its annual convention last week in Reno, Nev.

And there is a new president of the association, as the membership elected Todd Case of Indiana Recovery Services. After serving as president for more than three years, Vaughn Clemmons of Automobile Recovery Bureau in Houston now is immediate past president.

ARA members also re-elected Marcus Potter of NAR Services in Denver, N.C., as vice president and Amy Bednar of Relentless Recovery in Cleveland to the board.

And John Newberry of Eagle Eye Recovery in Villa Rica, Ga., was elected as the association’s newest board member.

Coinciding with the leadership changes, ARA handed out six honors, including:

—Dedicated Service Award: Al Gonzalez

—Key Award: Danny Pablon

—Bob Dempsey Award: Max Pinero

—Special Recognition Award: Kevin Armstrong

—Lorna Lou Barnes Award: Darcy Case

—Les McCook Industry Leadership Award: Amy Bednar

Potter along with Todd and Darcy Case are among the professionals set to appear during Used Car Week, which runs Nov. 17-20 in Las Vegas.
