PORTLAND, Ore. — Compli recently announced two new executive appointments. Richard Potter now serves as the company's senior vice president of sales and marketing, while Jamie Apt has been named sales manager for the Southwestern region.

Potter has more than 25 years of executive experience in the professional services, logistics, high-tech, and manufacturing industries. Before joining Compli, Potter served as vice president of sales and marketing for Joseph C. Sansone Co., a consultancy providing business and tax services.

In this role, Potter was responsible for the leadership and direction of the company's national sales and marketing organization. Before that, he held senior management positions with Deloitte Consulting, Ryder Integrated Logistics and the Eastman Kodak Co.

Meanwhile, Apt comes to Compli from Microvision, where he served as enterprise sales manager for a wearable computer. Before that, he served as vice president of sales and marketing for Dynatron Software, which provided business intelligence software to U.S. auto dealerships and dealer groups.

Prior to that position, he implemented universal compliance F&I solutions nationally for Reynolds & Reynolds, managed a leading Dallas dealership and served as metropolitan district manager for General Motors in California and Texas.

Executives said Apt has been a member of the Association of Finance and Insurance Professionals, Consumer Banker's Association, National Auto Finance Association, National Vehicle Leasing Association and the National Automobile Dealers Association.

Compli Launches Updated Compliance Management System

In other recent news, Compli announced it has rolled out a new version of its Web-based Compli Dealership Compliance Management System. Executives said the new features in the system are based on content in Compli's Guided Compliance Initiatives.

The latest version of Compli DCMS was designed to offer greater ease of use and enable dealers to automate the entire on-boarding and orientation process, while also providing encrypted and secure 1-9 and W-4 forms, according to officials.

"The DCMS can be used to provide new employees with written performance expectations, clear information on the dealership compliance program and compliance training," executives reported.

"Streamlined on-boarding and orientation can make a positive first impression on newly hired employees, which helps to improve employee retention rates," officials continued.

"And, according to research by DeltaTrends, an employee's positive impression of a dealership during the first 30 days on the job increases the gross margin generated by that employee," they added.

Compli said it new system addresses risks and advanced compliance in three of the top areas of store liability, including premises liability, theft and fraud, in addition to auto liability.

"Auto liability, for example, is the highest area of loss for a dealer, so the protection and proper use of demo vehicles are important because difficulties in obtaining insurance for vehicles used by dealership employee," officials explained.

They also pointed out that the new system addresses a computer and Internet use risks.
