ATLANTA — Navigation Capital Partners, a leading Atlanta-based middle market private equity firm, recently announced that O.G. Greene joined the firm as an operating partner and will serve on the board of Exeter Finance Corp., a non-prime auto finance company.

Greene comes to Navigation with more than 30 years of experience from the financial services, banking and telecommunications industries and will begin serving on the Board of Directors of Exeter Finance Corp., one of Navigation Capital's core portfolio companies, according to officials.

Greene has directed a number of industry-leading companies during his career, they noted. His background includes time as president of the U.S. operations of Burroughs Corp. (now Unisys) and chief executive officer of National Data Corp., along with chief operating officer of First Financial Management.

Executives indicated that his experience is supplemented by his entrepreneurial endeavors, including co-founding and serving as CEO of GridNet International, chairman and CEO of Skylight Financial and CEO of Speer Communications (now DSM Networks).

In his new role at Navigation, Greene will provide advisory support and strategic operating counsel for the company's growing portfolio of core companies and investments.

He will primarily be responsible for assisting Navigation's portfolio of business service and finance companies in the further development and implementation of their strategic and operating plans.

"With a strong reputation as a growth-focused leader, O.G.'s extensive industry knowledge will be a superb complement to Navigation's already strong bench of operating expertise," said Larry Mock, a managing partner at Navigation Capital.

"We continue to focus our resources on the partnerships we've built with our core portfolio of companies and look forward to their continued success under his guidance," he added.

Greene will join industry veterans such as Edward Esstman, former president, COO and vice chairman of the board of AmeriCredit Corp. (NYSE: ACF), on the board of directors of Exeter Finance Corp.

A Navigation core portfolio company, Exeter is a non-prime auto finance company specializing in purchasing and servicing of finance contracts from select franchised dealers throughout the United States.

Navigation currently has majority stakes or significant investments in 10 portfolio companies ranging from business services to manufacturing and distribution companies. Navigation works closely with the management teams of its core portfolio companies to provide the financial and operating resources necessary to develop and accelerate solid growth, officials stated.
