NEWARK, Del. — Honda Financial Services recently marked the groundbreaking for its new 26,000-square-foot Mid-Atlantic regional offices, which will support Honda's growing family of customers in Pennsylvania, Delaware and New Jersey.

HFS will lease the space and serve as the anchor tenant at The Commons at Little Falls, a new office park to be constructed in Newark, Del.

"We look forward to the positive contributions our new home will make to the further growth and economic success of this area," said Jim Stevens, HFS regional manager.

"Most importantly, we look forward to continuing our mission to serve our Honda and Acura customers in the Mid-Atlantic region with financial products and services of the highest quality and value," he continued.

HFS said it is pursuing the development of a sustainable interior design that will reduce energy use and conserve natural resources. The company hopes to certify the facility's interior with the U.S. Green Building Council's Leadership in Energy Efficient Design standards.

Newark is already home to current regional offices of HFS. The offices' 130 associates will relocate to the new facility once it is completed in the fall of 2008.

HFS Mid-Atlantic offices currently serve more than 350,000 Honda and Acura customers with new-vehicle financing and lease programs, as well as many related franchised dealers with floor planning of new vehicle inventories.
