EL DORADO HILLS, Calif. -

Intellaegis now has additional funding and manpower to accelerate the growth of masterQueue, its debt collection software.

The company announced this week that it closed on its first round of institutional funding since its launch at Finovate in 2011.

“To this point, we’d been self-funded by the founders and two strategic angel investors,” Intellaegis co-founder and chief financial officer Perla Lewis said. “This allowed us to double staff and increase our year over year Q1 revenue from 2018 to 2019 by 80%.”

Another key move occurred when the company added a director of operations Lance Suder.

Suder, a former entrepreneur and Stanford grad, first caught the eye of masterQueue’s founder and chief executive officer John Lewis, not because of his valuable Stanford education or his entrepreneurial success, but because of his athletic career as a member of the Stanford crew team.

“Our son was a U.S. Junior National Coxswain and I saw firsthand the teamwork, dedication and discipline the sport requires from athletes who succeed at the highest level. When I saw Lance was a successful Junior rower who continued his career in college, I knew he’d be a great fit,” Lewis said.

Suder added, “As masterQueue makes contacting customers easy, efficient and compliant, I’m proud to join their seasoned team, and we’re excited to have found an investor that shares our vision and passion.

Lewis and the team at masterQueue have also been active in analyzing the impact of the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) in regard to its impact on debt collections. The company recently hosted a series of meetings that included Mary Ross, co-author of the CCPA.

These meetings will be followed up during the Auto Intel Summit, which is set for July 23-25 in Raleigh, N.C. The conference includes a session with Lewis and Ross titled, “Data Privacy Meets Regulatory Oversight in Debt Collections” as well as the annual masterQueue Skip Tracing summit for current and prospective clients.
