HUDSON, Ohio -

Along with the Fourth of July, Millennium Capital and Recovery Corp., has more reasons to celebrate this week. The nationwide, full-service recovery management firm secured two recent achievements in connection with data security and compliance.

According to a news release, Millennium has been revalidated by a digital forensics and cybersecurity firm on its data security and also has achieved its eighth consecutive AICPA SOC2 Type 2 certification. Millennium said it is the only continuously 100% certified outsourced national recovery manager since the inception of SOC2 Type 2 in 2012.

Company leadership noted this comprehensive audit covered all applicable trust principles including security, availability, processing integrity, confidentiality and privacy. The audit also was completed over an extended timeframe, not just a single point in time.

In Millennium’s case, executive vice president and chief managing officer Jeffrey Marsh insisted this achievement validates eight years of data and process policies with no gaps after being scrutinized by the rigorous SOC Type 2 audit by independent AICPA analysts.

Marsh also emphasized these recent achievements demonstrate Millennium’s ongoing commitment to data security and compliance within the financial services industry.

“We are very proud of our team and their commitment to Millennium’s core values and our commitment to data security and compliance in our business and industry.  This is a tremendous achievement,” Marsh said.

Millennium also successfully completed another test of its data security fortification:  the company’s latest external network penetration test to assess the security of its Internet perimeter by an independent digital forensics and cybersecurity audit firm.

The company explained this process was done through, in lay terms, manual and automated hacker attacks, social engineering, and reconnaissance techniques. Millennium’s successful completion is only the latest in continual data security testing and affirmation of the company’s continuous dedication to the security of their systems and data.

Millennium chief compliance and technology officer Geoff Pope said, “We are committed to ensuring the integrity of our data security and operational processes. And just as committed to providing independent verification and transparency to our customers in support of our claims.”
