FlexPath DXP CEO Tarry Shebesta explained the launch of Personalized Shop-by-Payment (Personalized SBP) answers the two questions car shoppers have at the beginning of their process. What can I afford per month and how much cash do I have up front?
Shebesta said Personalized SBP is built around that reality, cutting through the complexity of pricing, incentives, rebates, interest rates, lease offers, and finance terms.
Personalized SBP can allow consumers to explore a dealer’s entire new and used inventory together, using real monthly payments tied to verified identity and real credit. The experience begins with just a mobile phone number.
“Consumers don’t think ‘new’ or ‘used’ first,” Shebesta said in a news release. “They think in terms of budget. Personalized Shop-by-Payment lets them see all vehicles that fit their payment and cash parameters.”
Unlike most payment tools that require shoppers to select a single vehicle or choose between new and used before seeing payments, Shebesta said Personalized SBP can calculate and display all qualifying vehicles at once, showing every vehicle across a dealer’s inventory that matches the shopper’s desired monthly payment and down payment.

Personalized SBP is powered by FlexPath’s patent-pending VeriQual identity-verified prequalification engine, which can verify identity and can perform a soft credit pull before any payments are calculated.
Shebesta said this process ensures results are qualification-based and not estimates generated from self-reported form-fill data.
Because calculations occur on a unified engine, he added payments are generated consistently across new and used inventory.
