NEW YORK -

Sirius XM’s Connected Vehicle Services announced it has partnered with AT&T to provide 4G LTE connectivity to support SiriusXM Guardian, the satellite radio company’s package of in-vehicle safety, security and convenience services now in select 2017 model-year FCA vehicles.

Services of SiriusXM Guardian are available in the 2017 model-year Chrysler 300, Dodge Challenger and Dodge Charger vehicles when outfitted with the 8.4-inch Uconnect system.

"The importance of delivering a high level of safety and convenience features to auto owners in their vehicles in an easy-to-use fashion cannot be overstated now and in the future," said SiriusXM's general manger and group vice president of Connected Vehicle, Larry Pesce.  "We're very excited to raise the curtain on our SiriusXM Guardian brand and work with AT&T to deliver connected vehicle services that create a dynamic in-car experience that FCA US drivers and their passengers want."

SiriusXM Guardian’s suite of features includes services such as roadside assist call, theft alarm notification, vehicle finder and send & go, which allows drivers send point-of-interest information from a mobile phone right to a vehicle's navigation system.

"We're proud to work with SiriusXM to bring the benefits of LTE connectivity to FCA US vehicles," said AT&T’s president of Internet of Things Solutions Chris Penrose. "This collaboration will deliver the connectivity that more and more consumers want in their next car purchase."

Vehicles carrying SiriusXM Guardian also have SOS, a feature that enables drivers to contact a SiriusXM response specialist and send location information at the push of a button.

Customers who purchase any of the select vehicles will earn a subscription to SiriusXM Guardian for a year.
