Auto Remarketing has learned that Dan Crowe, national remarketing manager at American Honda Motor Co., has retired and a replacement for the longtime leader of the certified pre-owned programs at Honda and Acura has been named.

Stepping into the position is Brian Butts, Honda told Auto Remarketing late last week. Crowe retired in June, having spent the last 13-plus years as the national remarketing manager. Before that, Crowe spent 15 years as the national market representation manager for the Acura division.

A leader in the certified business, Crowe has been a regular speaker at Auto Remarketing Conferences’ CPO Forum.

Through May, the Honda brand’s CPO sales have reached 100,076 units for a 5.9-percent year-over-year gain, while Acura has hit 17,777 certified sales (down 16.6 percent).
