Octane began the year by highlighting momentum for its captive-as-a-service program, which brings together its servicing, underwriting, technology, and capital markets execution into a single platform.

And last week, the company sought to stay on a positive track and hired Gerry Quinn as vice president of sales and partnerships, auto. Quinn will lead Octane’s automotive sales and partnerships strategy for its platform that can enable auto dealership groups to enjoy the benefits of a customized, in-house captive finance company without the significant investment of building a lender from scratch.

So far this year, the company has already more than doubled its number of auto captive rooftops compared to end of last year

Additionally, Octane surpassed $10 billion in all-time originations and further diversified its capital markets program with a whole loan sale, forward-flow transactions, and its largest RV and marine asset-backed securitization to date, bringing its total ABS issuance to more than $5 billion.
