LEXINGTON, Ky. — Dealers' Financial Services recently named Great American Insurance Co. as the underwriter for its MILES Guaranteed Auto Protection Program, which is designed to assist and protect active-duty military personnel when they are making a vehicle purchase.

According to officials, the deal between DFS and the Great American Insurance Co. allows GAP protection waivers (backed by a top-rate insurer) to continue to be provided by MILES Certified Dealers.

The company noted that the Great American Insurance Co. was rated "A" by A.M. Best in December. Essentially, officials explained, the partnership benefits both the dealership and MILES active-duty service customer, as they are given dependable GAP waiver protection.

"The relationship we have established with Great American will significantly enhance customer service for both our Certified Dealerships and military customers," commented Larry Mountford, senior vice president at DFS.
