AutoCanada added to its collision repair business with the acquisition of Doug’s Place Strathcona, a single-shop collision and refinish repair facility in Edmonton, Alberta.
The dealership group said its new addition, which will be rebranded as ACX Doug’s Place, complements its existing collision presence in Edmonton by expanding capacity and broadening OEM and insurance partner coverage in the market.
ACX Doug’s Place is close to four AutoCanada dealerships, which the company said positions it to attract incremental repair volume and strengthen service availability throughout the region.
The facility is OEM-certified by Mercedes-Benz, BMW, Mini, Nissan GTR, Tesla, Volkswagen, Volvo, Lexus and Genesis, and participates in direct repair programs with Intact, TD and AMA, adding to AutoCanada’s existing partnerships with Intact and TD and beginning a new relationship with AMA.
AutoCanada’s Canadian Operations segment operates 31 collision centers, including 15 stand-alone shops, as well as 64 franchised dealerships and three independent used-ca stores.
