Another side effect of PrimaLend filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week surfaced soon afterward.

Along with being a floorplan provider, PrimaLend was a founding member of BHPH United, which is comprised of seven service providers that organize an annual conference and other training opportunities for buy-here, pay-here dealerships. But PrimaLend will be stepping away from its membership in BHPH United “to allow PrimaLend to focus fully on its ongoing restructuring and long-term business objectives.”

BHPH United — which now includes Auto Master Systems, Big Time Advertising and Marketing, Buckeye Risk Services, Ignite Consulting Partners, Ituran USA, and Tax Max — distributed a news release last Thursday elaborating about the situation.

“Both BHPH United and PrimaLend wish to stress that this development has absolutely no impact on the operations, financial stability, or mission of BHPH United as an entity,” officials said. “It is fiscally sound, remains strong, and is fully committed to serving the buy here pay here community. BHPH United will continue to move forward with the same focus educating, supporting, and empowering dealers across the country and look forward to the 2026 BHPH United Summit April 19-21 at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas.

“Both organizations agree this is the right decision at this stage and are grateful for the collaboration and shared commitment to serving the buy-here, pay-here community. PrimaLend and BHPH United part on good terms and extend mutual best wishes for continued success in the future,” officials continued.

“Above all, together, we thank the buy-here, pay-here community for your trust and partnership over the years. We all look forward to continued relationships with the dealer body in support of our industry,” BHPH United went on to say.
