EBlock has launched LiveLanes in Quebec, meaning all vehicles sold in the physical lanes at the EBlock Montreal auction location will also be available through a unified digital marketplace.

EBlock Montreal had been selling inventory separately through a third-party simulcast system. That system is being replaced by LiveLanes, starting Tuesday.

Vehicles at EBlock Montreal will be listed directly on LiveLanes, which is an EBlock technology that “brings in-lane and digital auction environments together into one unified event,” the company said in a news release.

“By integrating in-person bidding with online sales, this solution connects vehicle inventory in Quebec to buyers throughout Canada and U.S. exporters, all while preserving smooth local auction lane operations for on-site participants,” EBlock said.

This continues the company’s “land-meets-tech approach,” where physical facilities can tap into digital capabilities while meeting infrastructure needs and offering both online and in-lane buying and selling options.

Each car sold in the lanes at EBlock Montreal is also available on the EBlock digital marketplace, giving sellers greater reach and buyers wider selection, without having to move vehicles between platforms, thanks to LiveLanes including physical and digital inventory into a single sales event.

“Land and logistics still matter for dealers. That’s where cars get inspected, stored and moved. What dealers don’t need is a separate sale for every site,” EBlock president Lisa Scott said in news release.

“With LiveLanes, Montreal runs on the same platform as the rest of our marketplace. That’s what we mean by land meets tech: we keep the ground operations local and put every car in one market while attracting buyers from across Canada. This also simplifies the buying experience for our customers and meets our customers where and how they want to do business.”

EBlock Montreal general manager Mathieu Boisvert added, “In the past, Quebec dealers had to manage separate logins and split their focus between in-person bidding in Montreal and external simulcast platforms. Now, EBlock unifies that experience. Buyers can attend the live lanes in Montreal while simultaneously participating in digital auctions across Canada right from their mobile devices. A consigned vehicle now gains national exposure, giving our local sellers broader market reach and buyers across Canada access to more inventory.”
