TORONTO -

According to the Dealertrack's monthly Tradetracker Used Vehicle Market Report, The Ford F-150 and the Toyota Corolla remained the top two most-appraised vehicles in Canada in August, as has been the case year-to-date.

Rounding out the top five in August were the Mazda3, the Ford Escape and the Honda Civic sedan.

The latter three models were all part of a three-month trend, albeit in a different order: Escape, Civic sedan and Mazda 3.

Year-to-date, the Mazda3 and the Escape held spots 4 and 5, respectively, with the Sierra 1500 in the No. 3 spot.

Dealertrack’s brand of the month was Volkswagen. Year-to-date, the Mazda3 and the Civic sedan have been the top two off-make vehicles appraised by Volkswagen dealers. In August, the 3 Series claimed the No. 3 spot, which year-to-date has been held by the Focus.

The top 3 vehicles looked at by trade-in customers at Volkswagen dealerships last month were the Jetta, Tiguan and Golf, continuing a three-month and year-to-date trend.

Everything else had the same August, three-month and year-to-date trending:

—The Corolla was the top import vehicle appraised by import dealers.

—The Escape was the top domestic vehicle appraised by import dealers.
