Many automakers in Canada have been reporting record months for CPO, but Kia topped the list this September.

Kia Canada almost doubled its CPO sales from September 2013, selling 284 certified sales, compared to 143 sold during the same period of last year.

As CPO results started coming in for September, several other automakers’ performances stood out, as well: Audi has notched another record, and Volvo Canada has reported its first positive CPO sales jump this year.

Volvo Canada sold 118 CPO vehicles this past month, up from 95 sold during the same period of last year. This equates to a 24.2-percent increase year-over-year.

Audi Canada once again reported a record month for CPO. The automakers has its best September ever for CPO, selling 480 certified vehicles.

This is up 11.6 percent from the 430 sold during September 2013.

So far this year, Audi Canada has sold 4,246 CPO vehicles, 9.3 percent above the 3,884 sold during the same period last year.

Volkswagen Canada continued to post double-digit increases in September, selling 1,423 CPO vehicles. This is a 15.9 percent increase from the 1,228 sold during the same month last year.

Year-to-date, the automaker has sold 13,055 CPO units, up 15.7 percent from the 11,288 sold during the same period of 2013.

Mazda Canada continues to perform well, seeing certified sales soar last month. The automaker sold 475 CPO vehicles, up from 404 sold during September 2013.

It has sold 4,290 certified vehicles to date this year, up from 4,027 sold through September of last year.

Subaru Canada also notched a year-over-year increase, selling 39 CPO vehicles in September, up from 24 sold last year during the same month.

Year-to-date, the company has sold 246 CPO vehicles, up from 245 sold during the same period of 2013.

Toyota Canada continues to lag behind 2013 numbers, with 1,409 CPO vehicles sold in September. This is down from 1,686 sold during the same period of last year. Year-to-date, the company has sold 13,912 certified vehicles, down from 27,633 sold through September of last year.

Honda Canada is still seeing sales lag, but its luxury arm is seeing consistent CPO sales increases.

Honda sold 1,161 CPO vehicles in September, down slightly from the 1,204 sold during the same period of 2013.

Year-to-date, the automaker has sold 12,199 CPO vehicles, down from 14,707 sold during the same timeframe last year.

Moving on to highlight its luxury arm, Acura sold 240 certified units last month, up from 222 sold during September 2013.

Year-to-date, Acura Canada has sold 2,381 certified rides, up slightly from the 2,314 sold during the same period last year.

“2014 continues to present a unique challenge, as the Canadian market is operating under a tight used vehicle supply, the lowest in more than a decade. However, we have confidence our dealer networks will strive to meet this challenge head-on,” said Todd Fowler, manager of used-vehicle operations at Honda Canada.

Mercedes-Benz Pre-Owned posted a record month again, selling 1,406 CPO vehicles, marking an increase of 14.7 percent from September 2013. Year-to-date, the automaker has sold 10,890 CPO units, which is up 6.4 percent or 659 units from 2013 numbers.

Lastly, Porsche Approved certified pre-owned reported 103 sales in September.
