VINchex announced on Tuesday that its lien verification data is available to Loanbridge customers.
Through the partnership, Loanbridge users can verify a vehicle’s current lien status in the same system they already use to monitor their portfolios, track vehicle events, and pull vehicle history.
Loanbridge strives to give lenders, asset holders, and recovery professionals continuous VIN monitoring across police impounds, private tow lots, and retail marketplaces, with alerts on actionable vehicle events.
With VINchex data now part of the platform, users can pair the vehicle event monitoring they already rely on with lien verification.
“Loanbridge tells lenders where their vehicles are and what’s happening to them. VINchex tells them whether they still have a valid claim,” VINchex founder and CEO John Houston said in a news release. “Putting those two answers side by side means Loanbridge clients can move quickly on recoveries without taking on the risk of repossessing a vehicle they no longer have the right to.”
The companies acknowledged undetected lien loss can lead to inadvertent repossessions, which expose lenders to legal, financial, and reputational risk. VINchex was designed and developed by professional skip tracers to address that gap.

VINchex highlighted its multi-source data waterfall can check lienholder information to deliver reliable, accurate lien status in 48 states, including California, where lien data has historically been difficult to access.
For Loanbridge users, the integration can bring vehicle location, event, and lien data together in one place, giving them a more complete picture to make informed, efficient recovery decisions.
“Our clients count on Loanbridge to surface actionable information as early as possible,” said Loanbridge CEO Alex Wilhelm, who is among the executives set to appear during Used Car Week that begins on Nov. 16 in San Diego. “Adding VINchex’s lien verification data gives them one more critical data point inside the workflow they already use, so they can confirm eligibility and act with confidence.”
VINchex’s lien verification data is available to Loanbridge clients now.
