What prompted/inspired you to join the auto industry and what do you enjoy most about it?

I began my career in the auction industry in 2005 at my uncle’s lane auction, stepping into a field that was completely new to me. I started by contacting donors and coordinating vehicle pickups for charitable auctions. As I gained hands-on experience, I developed a strong understanding of vehicle values, auction operations, and customer service — and quickly realized this was an industry where I could truly excel.

Over time, I discovered a genuine passion for building relationships, both internally with team members and externally with customers and partners. I take pride in navigating challenging situations, solving problems efficiently, and sharing the knowledge I’ve gained to help others succeed. Creating positive outcomes for customers and contributing to a strong, collaborative team environment is what motivates me every day.

What is the top trend you’re watching in the used-car industry this year?

Affordability continues to be a primary concern for consumers, leading many to consider used or leased vehicles as more practical alternatives. Copart has vehicles that fit used car customer needs at a reasonable price.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?

Service has always been something I take personally, whether I’m supporting a customer or a colleague. In 2020, I was nominated by both peers and customers for being responsive, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented, which led to receiving both a Quarterly Service Star Award and the Annual Service Star Award across the U.S.

In 2018, I was recognized as the Most Valuable Auction Coordinator, which meant a lot to me because it reflected both performance and trust. Most recently, in 2025, our team received an Auction Customer Service Award at a national automotive conference for our work managing one of our largest fleet customers. I’m proud of that recognition because it highlights not just individual effort, but leadership, teamwork, and a shared commitment to excellence.

What book, film or song has inspired you personally or professionally?

I would choose “Girl on Fire” by Alicia Keys because it represents confidence, resilience, and the drive to succeed. Today, more women are stepping forward, making their voices heard, and demonstrating what we are truly capable of achieving.

It’s especially inspiring to see more women in the auction industry leading by example and paving the way for future success. The song reflects that energy — determination, strength, and momentum — which aligns with both my personal mindset and the progress I see happening around me.

Who is someone who has inspired you personally or professionally?

My son inspires me. I want him to see that when you commit your heart and soul to something you’re passionate about, you should go after it wholeheartedly. Strength and resilience are built through perseverance, and I hope to model that for him.
