Auto Remarketing is recognizing the 2026 Women in Remarketing honorees in the April edition of the magazine and will be posting Q&As with each of these outstanding leaders on the website.

Next up, in alphabetical order by first name, is Shannon LaPointe-Wisniewski, who is director of remarketing at RPM .

The Women in Remarketing program is presented by Ally.

What prompted/inspired you to join the auto industry and what do you enjoy most about it? Early in my recruiting career I worked closely with logistics companies. I noticed that the people who thrived were the ones who could think fast, move quickly, and juggle multiple priorities at once, even before I fully understood what made logistics so dynamic.

Over time, I realized those same qualities existed in me. I’m energized by fast-paced environments, constant problem-solving, and the ability to adapt quickly. That realization pushed me to take the leap into the automotive logistics industry and I haven’t looked back.

What I enjoy most is the momentum. The automotive industry is always evolving and constantly challenges you to be creative, resilient, and decisive. No two days are the same and I love that.

What is the top trend you’re watching in the used-car industry this year?
What I’m seeing across the automotive industry is a clear demand for a seamless user experience. Whether someone is buying, renting, transporting, or servicing a vehicle, the expectation is the same: simple, transparent, and consistent.

As AI continues to reshape the industry, the real opportunity and challenge is ensuring that technology enhances that experience rather than overcomplicates it. The companies that win will be the ones that use AI to remove friction, create clarity, and strengthen the human connection, not replace it.

What accomplishment are you most proud of in your career?

I’m most proud of playing a key role in RPM’s early vehicle growth and being part of the foundation that helped shape where the company is today. Those early stages required resilience, adaptability, and a willingness to build from the ground up.

Along the way, I’ve built strong partnerships and lasting relationships with customers, which has been just as meaningful as the growth itself.

I’m also proud of the team environment we built. I had the opportunity to work closely with two of last year’s Women in Remarketing while they were part of my team, and it’s been great to see them continue to grow and succeed in their careers.

What book, film or song has inspired you personally or professionally?
“The Fountainhead” is my favorite book because it challenges the idea of conforming to expectations and celebrates independence and conviction. It reinforces the belief that you don’t have to follow someone else’s blueprint to be successful, you can build your own.

Who is someone who has inspired you personally or professionally?

The person who inspires me the most is my dad. He’s my favorite person and has taught me so much about life and leadership. He has always shown up for his work, for his family, and especially for me. He instilled in me a strong work ethic, the importance of taking care of your people, and the reminder to have fun because life is too short. Most importantly, he taught me to know my worth and love what I do.
