A dealership manager has taken the next step and acquired his first store.
Ahmed Fayed partnered with entrepreneur Robert Palmese to purchase Matt Blatt Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram in Philadelphia from the Greenblatt Family, according to Performance Brokerage Services, which brokered the deal.
The dealership, which has been renamed Liberty Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram, is the first location for their newly created company, PalmEasy Motors, and for Fayed, it represents the realization of a longtime dream.
“Since I started working in the business, I’ve always aspired to become a dealer,” said Fayed, who will serve as managing partner of the new acquisition.
Fayed, who has served as F&I manager, general sales manager and general manager for various dealerships over the past nine years, said in a news release his quest for a store of his own began six years ago “with me cold-calling brokerages in search of a deal.” That eventually led to a connection with Performance Brokerage Services, which connected him with the Greenblatts.
Palmese is president of Indra Energy, which facilitates access to renewable electricity and gas, as well as Columbia Utilities and CGE Renewables.

Matt Blatt Dealerships was founded in 1989, when Roy Greenblatt left his job as a dealership general sales manager and opened a used car lot in Glendora, N.J., named after his son, Matt. Ten years later, he added his first franchise dealership. The family now owns five locations in New Jersey and one in Pennsylvania.
Performance Brokerage Services said the sale of the Philadelphia store was a “strategic divestiture” for the family.
