NEW YORK –
Buyers who purchase a certified pre-owned model that comes with Sirius XM Radio as standard equipment now can keep tabs on Hurricane Irene as it approaches the East Coast.
Sirius XM Radio revealed Thursday it plans to air The Weather Channel to help those in the path of the hurricane and others throughout the country track the progress and severity of the storm predicted to impact 55 million people this weekend.
Officials said The Weather Channel will air on Sirius channel 184 and XM channel 1. They highlighted in-depth coverage from The Weather Channel includes evacuation and safety tips, an explanation of the winds and pressure of the storm and its projected path and landfall expectations, how to deal with severe storms and flooding and more.
In addition, Sirius XM mentioned its Road Dog Trucking Radio, channel 106, will try to keep the nation’s truckers updated with information on highway closures and weather.
Furthermore, advisories with extended coverage and local updates from The Weather Channel air hourly on SiriusXM’s First Traffic and Weather, channels 132 to 140.
