PASADENA, Calif. -

Although the overall used market is challenged right now by hefty prices and low supply, a recently launched used-car store in Southern California says its inventory is diverse and 150 units strong as it approaches its grand opening this weekend.

Pasadena Auto Outlet opened up shop last month and will officially kick things off Saturday with an event that will include free food from the Krazy BBQ Food Truck and appearances from DJ Alex of radio station AM 570 and the San Diego Chargers cheerleaders.

The NFL team’s cheerleaders will be on hand to sign autographs and run a raffle for football tickets and $250 cash giveaways. Drawings will be each half hour beginning at noon (PST) through 2 p.m.

Sharing more about the store, offiicials said inventory includes luxury brands like Lexus, Mercedes-Benz, Audi and BMW, as well as mainstream makes like Nissan, Toyota, Ford, Chevrolet and Hyundai. The outlet also offers 90-day limited warranties on most vehicles. It provides free evaluations for shoppers interested in selling their vehicles (even if they choose not to buy from the dealership).

“We’ve got it all,” stated sales manager Keith Seals. “Every make and model. Over 150 on the lot right now.”

Continuing along, The dealership is also offering the “Drive Home Happy Pasadena Sweepstakes.” By visiting www.drivehappypasadena.com, shoppers can put their names in the hat for a Visio 47-inch LCD HDTV and Visa gift cards.

“We’re open for business,” said Jerry Netkin, the store’s general manager. “And we’re going to change the way Los Angeles shops for quality, pre-owned cars.”

Netkin added: "We have a friendly, knowledgeable, no-pressure sales staff in place. Pasadena is a great market and the time is right to consider a used car or truck. We’re here at the right time and we’re here to stay. I want to keep our customers for life."
