It’s always helpful to have another “eye” on a used vehicle during an appraisal.
Or in CARFAX’s case, a “UVeye.”
The two companies announced an integration this week that brings together UVeye’s automated drive-through vehicle inspection platform and CARFAX’s service history data, giving retailers trusted vehicle service history data in their service workflow.
Dealers will be able to tap into maintenance records, recall information and condition insights on a car when it enters their service lane.
When the UVeye system scans the vehicle, the platform assesses its condition through computer vision technology, including components like tires, underbody and exterior condition. Dealers who are enrolled in CARFAX’s Car Care program can now tap directly into service history and recall info through the UVeye interface.
“Our goal has always been to give dealers the most complete picture of every vehicle the moment it arrives in their service lane. Through this integration with CARFAX, we’re able to make that picture even sharper,” UVeye CEO and co-founder Amir Hever said in a news release.

“Combining UVeye’s real-world condition intelligence with CARFAX’s trusted historical data inside a single workflow allows advisors to make data-driven recommendations the moment a vehicle enters the lane,” Hever said. “For customers, the result is a service conversation built on evidence and transparency, not assumptions. Ultimately, that means more value and safer cars for drivers.”
CARFAX lauded as top workplace
The integration with UVeye wasn’t the only news out of CARFAX this week.
The company was named as a “Top Workplace” by WTOP in Washington, D.C. and by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch in Missouri.
The D.C. market and St. Louis are CARFAX’s hub cities.
The company has earned such honors in D.C. 12 times and been lauded five straight times in Missouri.
“Every day, our team is the driving force behind our mission to help millions of people,” CARFAX president Scott Fredericks said in a news release.
“Being recognized as a Top Workplace in both Virginia and Missouri is especially meaningful because these communities are our home. This recognition belongs to Team CARFAX for their passion, collaboration, and commitment to making CARFAX a place where people can grow, learn, and do their best work,” he said.
The Energage Workplace Survey administers the awards, which are based on anonymous employee feedback.
This is the first year that WTOP has hosted the D.C. awards. The Washington Post previously hosted for over a decade.
