Like the Gamecock at Williams-Brice Stadium, Holler-Classic Family of Dealerships rightfully has something to crow about.

Announcing an expansion to the South Carolina capital, Holler-Classic has purchased four stores in the Columbia, S.C. area.

The central Florida-based dealer group announced Tuesday that it has acquired three Nissan dealers and one INFINITI store from Dick Smith Automotive.

These stores, which have been renamed, include:

— Holler Nissan of Columbia, 9940 Two Notch Road, Columbia, S.C.

— Holler Nissan of Lexington, 5536 Sunset Boulevard, Lexington, S.C.

— Holler Nissan of St. Andrews, 3670 Fernandina Road, Columbia, S.C.

— Holler INFINITI of Columbia, 3670B Fernandina Road, Columbia, S.C.

“We’ve been eying the Southeast market for some time,” said Roger W. Holler III, president of the Holler-Classic Family of Dealerships, in a news release.

“Dick Smith’s legacy as an honorable automotive retailer is well-known and that made the acquisition particularly attractive to us,” Holler said.

“Matching corporate cultures is always a consideration, as is established customer loyalty in prime retail locations. These four dealerships checked all of our boxes. We pledge to build on that loyalty by delivering our exceptional customer experiences.”

The acquisition of the stores includes13.10 acres (with an option for 9.08 more) and 125,499 square feet of retail space.

This move continues Holler-Classic’s recent expansion. The retailer recently bought Holler Ford and opened VinFast Orlando and East Orlando Mitsubishi. It will soon finish building Audi Daytona, as well.

The acquisition of the South Carolina stores puts Holler-Classic’s store count at 17.

“Columbia is a great area, a state capital and university town that’s fast approaching 900,000 residents,” said Jill Holler Rogers, Holler-Classic treasurer. “Like our own father, Roger Holler, Jr., Dick Smith was a visionary.

“Our family opened our first dealership in 1938 and the Smith family helped build his legacy since 1961. We intend to honor those legacies on behalf of both of our founders. We appreciate the Smith family for entrusting the future of these dealerships to us.”

Rick Case Automotive doubles size of ATL VW store

Another Florida-based dealer group has also grown in a Southeastern capital.

Rick Case Automotive, which is headquartered in Sunrise, Fla., held a grand reopening of its revamped Rick Case Kia dealership in Atlanta.

The group held a ribbon-cutting ceremony with CEO and owner Rita Case along with several Kia America executives, including vice president of sales operations Eric Watson and executive director for Southern region operations Percy Vaughn.

The facility was expanded and renovated “to support Kia’s continued growth in America, and deliver an even better experience for customers,” the dealer group said.

“We are proud to be part of the Atlanta community since 1986 and a proud member of the Kia family,” Rita Case said in a news release. “Our customers are our friends, and we are committed to providing them with an exceptional experience every time they visit us, whether they’re purchasing or leasing a new Kia or servicing their current vehicle.”
