It’s a Texas three-step.

Clay Cooley Auto Group has acquired a trio of franchise stores — Norm Reeves Mazda, Hyundai and Genesis in Irving, Texas — from The CAR Group, according to a news release from Pinnacle Mergers & Acquisitions, which advised the seller.

The acquired stores will operate as Clay Cooley Mazda, Hyundai and Genesis.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with both The CAR Group and Clay Cooley Auto Group for many years,” Pinnacle founder and CEO Bill Scrivner said in a news release. “The best transactions aren’t built on negotiations alone; they’re built on relationships, trust, and a shared commitment to doing what’s right for everyone involved.

“We were honored to represent The CAR Group once again and help bring together two outstanding organizations,” Schivner said. “It’s incredibly rewarding to see relationships we’ve built over time continue to create opportunities for our clients and contribute to their long-term success.”

Pinnacle has worked with both dealer groups on prior transactions.

Von Housen sells luxury store to indiGO

Moving west to the Bay Area, the indiGO Auto Group has acquired San Francisco Exotics from Von Housen Automotive Group, according to a news release from The Presidio Group, which advised the seller.

Van Housen purchased San Francisco Exotic Cars in 2025 as part of a transaction that also included Ferrari of San Francisco. It will still own and operate the latter.

“As we evaluated our long-term priorities including our exclusive representation of the iconic Ferrari brand in the Bay Area, we determined this was the right time to place San Francisco Exotic Cars with an organization dedicated to representing the specific brands retailed at this dealership,” Van Housen owner George Grinzewitsch said in a news release.

“IndiGO Auto Group is just that company. We thank the Presidio team for their professionalism and expertise in shepherding this transaction for our family. They are truly the best in the business.”
