ACERTUS announced on Tuesday it has acquired vehicle transport provider Fisher Shipping.

It’s a move the auto logistics-as-a-service platform says broadens its network of carriers and customers, while also deepening its transport expertise and relationships across key automaker and dealer segments.

The purchase of Fisher “expands our platform and deepens our ability to serve the automotive ecosystem,” says ACERTUS CEO Michael DeLuca.

“Fisher Shipping has earned its reputation the right way—through trust, consistency and with a team that genuinely cares about their customers. That is exactly the kind of organization we want in the ACERTUS family,” DeLuca said in a news release.

“This acquisition expands our platform and deepens our ability to serve the automotive ecosystem, but more importantly, it brings talented people and trusted partnerships built over two decades. Those are the foundations of long-term success.”

Fisher Shipping customers will be able to utilize all of the auto logistics services of ACERTUS, including transport, storage, vehicle care/maintenance and title/registration, along with ACERTUS’s carrier network, advanced fraud protection, real-time visibility and its SOC 2 Type II-certified technology platform

Fisher will continue operating under its current brand and its team will remain intact.

CEO Dave Fisher will join the ACERTUS team and become an equity holder in the company.

“Since 2006, we’ve built this business on trust, service and an unwavering commitment to our customers,” Dave Fisher said in a news release. “Joining ACERTUS lets us preserve those values while giving our customers access to greater capacity, technology and solutions. We’re proud to be part of an organization that’s shaping the future of vehicle logistics — and we’re excited about what we will build together.”
