Ford had the most used-vehicle sales of any brand from July 10-Aug. 9 and its F-150 was the top-selling used vehicle in the industry.
The Blue Oval also swept the top three spots of best-selling 7- to 11-year-old vehicles and best-selling vehicles 12 years and older.
But among late-model vehicles, there was a different king of the hill: the 2025 Toyota Camry.
That’s just some of the findings from AutoVision’s inaugural monthly report on the used-vehicle market, which the Reynolds and Reynolds subsidiary says, “covers 95% of all used-vehicle activity conducted by dealerships with a website across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, and Puerto Rico.”
AutoVision examines data from the 10th of the prior month to the 9th of the current month and reports on top vehicles entering the market, vehicles sold during the month, the fastest sellers and largest price fluctuations.
“Whether they are bringing a used vehicle to market or selling it, AutoVision leverages AI to track what happens with each VIN,” the company said in inaugural report’s introduction.

While Ford dominated much of the used-vehicle market volume-wise, others held the crown as far as turn times.
Mazda was the fastest-selling mainstream brand (62.79 days to sell), followed by Subaru (63.23 days), Toyota (63.34), Honda (68.76) and Buick (72.50), respectively, according to AutoVision’s data.

In the report’s conclusion, AutoVision noted, “The used-vehicle market in the height of summer of 2026 has seen a good mix of 2025 and 2024 light vehicle and pickup models entering and leaving the market. Meanwhile, older model trucks are a steadfast choice for customers looking for their next vehicle.
“As for what is selling quickly, some electric and hybrid vehicles are still moving swiftly, with less expensive internal combustion engine light vehicles filling in the gaps and dominating older model groups.”
