NADA Rolls Out Enhanced NADA University Online, Social Network

Along with details about a special social network tailored just for dealers, the National Automobile Dealers Association launched an enhanced and enriched version of NADA University Online with new and expanded features designed to custom-tailor the user experience.
With an all-new look and feel, officials highlighted the new NADA University site can provide dealership users job- and task-specific training and education organized into categories and topics that align with their needs.
“These new features make the online training experience more focused and individualized for every member of the dealership team, providing the information they need to improve their performance and productivity,” said Michelle Primm, chairman of NADA’s Dealership Operations Committee. “They’ll find it a fast, smooth ride to greater success.”
New features of NADA University Online include:
—My Career Path: Job-specific training recommendations are geared to take careers to the next level with links to the relevant NADA U content. My Career Path also allows the user to track progress. Current career paths include Sales Manager, Service Manager, Parts Manager, General Manager, and Sales Consultant — with many more in the works.
—Library: Stocked with NADA U publications and documents, including Driven Guides, system tutorials, career paths and the latest course catalog, the library offers a wealth of training and education resources on a wide variety of topics. Dealers can also upload dealership-specific files to the Library for easy access exclusively by their employees.
—The Learning Hub subscription now includes the popular HR Essentials package — Job Descriptions Online, Performance Evaluations Online, and HR Policy Handbooks Online — soon to be enhanced with a fourth online tool, more than 2,400 Fast Answers to pressing HR questions.
The association emphasized the all-new training center, the centerpiece of NADA University Online, combines all the resources of Learning Hub and Resource Toolbox in one convenient location and has been designed to make room for the new educational features.
Dealers and their staffs, as well as media attending the upcoming NADA Convention & Expo in Orlando, Fla., are invited to stop by NADA University at booth No. 2001 in the Expo Hall for a personal demonstration of the enhanced site.
NADA University Adds Private Social Network
In related developments, NADA U FUEL, a private online community, is being launched by NADA University.
FUEL is exclusive to these eligible NADA and American Truck Dealer (ATD) members:
—Academy Students and Alumni
—20 Group Members
—NextGen ATD Members
The online community was created to enhance and expand the collaboration and idea-sharing that already exists among these groups.
FUEL provides community members with instant access to peer discussions, subject matter experts and the industry’s most comprehensive education and training materials offered by NADA University.
The association insisted FUEL is the space to:
—Exchange ideas and tips for doing business
—Discuss trends in the marketplace
—Resolve business problems
—Give and get advice
—Keep in touch
“The car business is constantly changing and dealers need help to keep up,” said Erica Rose, manager of social media and website marketing with NADA University. “We are proud and excited to offer a new solution that will help dealers connect with one another and share ideas and approaches in real time. With FUEL, communication is immediate.”
FUEL can allow members to build on leadership, performance, and management skills learned through their experience at NADA and ATD — taking communication and education to the next level.
With a variety of idea-sharing tools and privacy options, community members have complete control over their audiences. They can engage with members in all three groups or within a single one. The user is in charge of the ultimate personalized experience.
FUEL’s custom online platform is powered by DrivingSales, whose technology can create an individualized profile and view, displaying only the content that is relevant and useful to each user.
Eligible members may activate the FUEL profile or learn more about the private community at NADAuniversity.com or by calling (800) 557-6232.
