ST. LOUIS -

Vehicle transportation company MetroGistics has announced the hiring of a new director of technology, responsible for the continued expansion of the company’s technology infrastructure and more.

Named to the position is Craig Clayton, who will also lead the design of new Web and mobile applications to support clients for the company, and lead innovations within the auto transport industry.

Clayton brings more than 11 years of IT management experience, with a background in information security, Web design, database design and networking.

He most recently served as director for information services in a large school district outside Nashville, Tenn. Prior to that, he served as chief technology officer at AmeriFlex, a financial services/health benefits administrator.

A native of western Kentucky, Clayton graduated from Murray State University with a bachelor’s degree in telecommunications systems management. Off-hours, he enjoys golf, wakeboarding, snowboarding, boating and spending time with his wife and two children.

“We are very excited to bring Craig onto the team,” said Scott Naz, one of MetroGistics’s owners. “He comes to us with a variety of skills acquired through an extensive work background, and we look forward to leveraging his passion for technology and innovation.”
