CENTREVILLE, Va. — Carfax announced that recently appointed to serve as the company's national director of data acquisition was Dave Sutton, who has more than seven years of experience in the remarketing field.

In his new post with Carfax, Sutton — whose experience includes a position as general manager of auction sales and operations for Volkswagen Credit, among other positions — is responsible for making sure the company addresses remarketers' needs, officials noted.

"Carfax is continuously looking for new ways to help remarketers maximize the value of their fleet vehicles," stated Gerry Bayer, vice president of Carfax.

"Dave understands first-hand the challenges that remarketers face from his time with Volkswagen Credit," Bayer continued. "His insights will help us improve our product to better serve our remarketing partners."
